To Carrot 2

[Just another lesson for Carrot. Readers of my exblog that was here in this space (TIWWWB) can ignore].

Hi again Carrot,

Since you were still having trouble. I got an idea from my favorite political writer to ilustrate more word usage and Parts Of speech for you . LEt me try to demonstrate the various. For you. Using as, a springboard. The root word of. The word I want to use is:

mendacious

Mendacious is one of are BEST words. (Also important especially in this day and ). Let me give you a little background and defanation of what it means. First of all Meaning.

Meaning. It means "dishonest". Mendacious means the exact same thing as dishonest. Dishonest is sa synonym for mendacious nad visa verca. There's relly no difference what soever between the word mendacious and the word dishonest. You could use one or the other in all context where you use the other one(the one that you didnt decide to use)(you could of).

So you (young/still lerning) might think (not vary advanced yet) "why use mendacious at all why not just use dishonest" well let me tell you. Because it's an advanced word. If you're are talking about normal thing's (Yu gi Yoh, Harry potter ect) then sure just use dishonest. Dishonest it's is good for just everyday conversation and contexts. like "Vodlamort is dishonest"

But let's say you're are talking about very important (advanced)subjects requiring high intelligence from eg. Ivayleague instatution's. Then you would want to use mendacious (a Ivyleague vocabulery word) instead. That way the people who're reading what you wrote. Will know think "Wow this guy relly knows his stuff. He's got a big Vocabulery and. I guess I should place stalk in what he's saying". See? Like if you just say "Bush is dishonest" people will think"well maybe I guess, that's your opinion, maybe rigth maybe no" ect but if you say Bush is mendacious Then people will HAVE TO sit up and take notic.e I mean mendacious my goodness? Do we RELLY want a President who is mendacious? (I sure dont) Also its just Impressive word overall(in general) I mean I'm blown AWAY sometime's by some of the political analysis where the word mendacious instead of dishonet is used(it RELLY spruces up you're analysis to do this-trust me)

OK

Now what I want to use the word today for. I want to show how you can take one word (in this our case mendacious) and switch it around for, varies parts of speeches. This should help you see the pattern and from there you're set.

Ok first of all let's go back to the root word

mendacious - this is a adjective. A person (Bush ect.) is mendacious. It describe's that person. The ious at the end it's is your BIG clue. Example senteance: Boy that President Bush sure is mendacious.

mendacy - this is the noun form. (Person place thing). If a person can be mendacious then what does he have? What thing does he have? That's right mendacy. Ex: The Bush administration sure does have alot of mendacy.

mendaciousness - this is another noun form (also acceptable-pretty sure)but different case.(?) Like it's the genative case(I think?). Or something(dont know cases very well to be honest). Ex: Mendaciousness purvades the Bush administration.

mendaciance - another nounform (I use to think this also acceptable - not sure anymore? maybe antaquated?). Maybe it's is Locutive case or whatever (LOLF I totally foget all the cases). Ex: We need to get Bush out of there to liberate are selves from all there mendaciance.

mendaciously - ok see what I did there? I made adverb. Adverbe describe's verb it say's how person is doing that verb. You can't just say "Bush mendaciously" you hae to say Bush does something mendaciously Ex: Bush mendaciously took us into the Runup-to war On Iraq. Mendaciously is(describes) how he took.

Lets do some more because you need ot see how also thing's can mix and match.

-You could turn the adjective into a noun. Hard to explain how this work's (hard to explain just look). Ex: Because of they're mendacy, Bush packed his administration with the mendacious. See whose in the Bush administration? The mendacious is in the Bush administration. "The mendacious" have become a noun instead of adjective(like before).

-Vice versa - you could turn noun to adjective. Ex: If Carter was the education President, Bush was the mendacy President. Here, like "education", mendacy describe's Presidnet(somehow)(even though on the surface its a noun not adjective).

-You could use prefixes suffixes etc: Kerry is antimendacious, after all his Mom told him to be Integrity Integrity Integrity not Mendacy Mendacy Mendacy; Before Powell joined the administration he was premendacious but they quickly made him tow the line; It got so bad Clarke couldnt stand it any more and left, now that he's postmendacious he can tell the trueth and boy look what he's saying; Why Oh Why cant we have an administration that's mendacyless?; ect.

-Finally. You could even turn it (the noun)into a Proper Noun. In that case just Capitlize it and your all set. Ex: I like to think of Bush as President Mendacy but other's call him President Mendaciousness, frankly were both right.

So there you go. I hope this help's you. Understand the parts Of Speech.

PS BWT: My advice is dont use the word mendacious yet, I was just using it as illustration, it's relly still too advanced for you. Maybe if you become a professional bonaphide Pundit (one day)?

IWW, I was eavesdropping on your lesson with Carrot, and it helped me with a problem I have been having, about how to experss my descent with Bush's new cabinette. I thnik i'ts relly cycninal of him to be appontmenting members of minorite groupings (2 HiSpanics, a Mexican and a Cuban; and 2 womyn, a white and an Afromerican, among the new appoints) and then (waht?) wer'e supposed to think he's being inclvsive, when what the new cabneit relly is . . .

. . . is poly-mendacious. Fer sure, Bush is foisting his poly-mendacy, his hydra, his levithnian upon the wyrld. And now I can describe it (in wyrds). So, thanks.
