No lifes

Blogger Brian Leiter has noticed that "the blogosphere is full of folks who don't seem to have real lives". Astute.

You should check out that post and, indeed, all 11 of the great post's that blogger Brian Leiter posted on his blog yesterday, Friday July 22th. RHTH's (all of them). He has academic accomplishments.

UPDATE: It came out in comment's that some TIWWWB readers (for example Jim) seemed to kind of worried (self conscience?) that Leiter was talking about them. I want to assuage those doubts on you're part; as I replied to Jim,

Jim, don't wory hes not talking about people like you and me(obviously). He's talking about people who for whom "Blogs and their relationships with others who have blogs appear to be their lives."

In other words, this would be describe, people who blog ALOT(write alot of post's in one day for example). People who CONSTANTLY check whats being said about them on other blogs (even small/obscure blogs by no names). Googling their own names all the time. Technirating theirselves all the time. To find out whats being said about them on even like the most obscure blog. Or message board.

And then wehn they find that someone has said something about him. They fell the need to respond/"rebut" in knee jerk fashion. In every single instance. With long/drawn out tirades(for example). You know, because blogs/they're relationship to blogs is their whole lifes.

Jim, dont worry that doesn't describe you/me. It describes TOTAL PATHETIC LOSERS WITH NO LIFES. Kudos again to Brain Leiter for pointing out what losers people fitting the preceding descriptions are.
